Why Sentosa

What You Gain When You
Work with Sentosa

We have structured our practice around the things that matter most to retirees: clear language, reliable advice, and a pace that suits you rather than us.

Six Reasons Our Clients Choose to Stay

Pension Law Specialists

Our practice covers only pension and EPF matters — not general law work. That depth of focus means we know the details that generalists often miss.

Everything in Writing

After every session, you receive a written note. After every action, a written update. Nothing important relies on your memory or ours.

Plain English (and Malay)

We do not present documents and walk away. We sit, explain, and answer questions until the picture is clear — in whichever language you prefer.

Clear, Fixed Fees

Our three services carry set prices — RM 540, RM 1,150, and RM 1,880. There are no retainer surprises, no hourly billing surprises, and no additions after the engagement begins.

Whole-Family Thinking

We look at your household picture, not just one account. Surviving spouses, dependants, and multi-scheme coordination are part of how we plan from the start.

Named Adviser, Always

You will not be passed between junior staff or anonymous case handlers. One named adviser manages your file from first contact to final document.

In More Detail

What Each Benefit Means in Practice

Specialist Expertise

Pension and EPF law in Malaysia involves specific procedures that shift over time — withdrawal conditions, appeals windows, documentation standards for survivor claims, and the interplay between EPF accounts and civil service pensions. Sentosa's advisers have worked in this space long enough to know not just the rules, but how the relevant authorities apply them in practice. This means our case assessments tend to be accurate, and our correspondence to KWSP and other bodies is framed in terms that produce results.

Considerate Service

Many of our clients are in their 60s, 70s, or older. Some come in with a single envelope of documents; others with boxes accumulated over decades. We take the time needed — appointments are not rushed, materials are produced in a comfortable format, and family members are always welcome to join a session. We also recognise that some clients prefer to come alone, and we adapt accordingly.

Transparent Pricing

Legal fees are a common source of anxiety. We address this by setting fixed prices for each of our three services before any engagement begins. The Quiet Pension Consultation is RM 540, Entitlement Recovery Assistance is RM 1,150, and the Lifetime Retirement Care Arrangement is RM 1,880. These are complete figures — not starting points. If the scope of a matter turns out to be significantly different from what was initially discussed, we tell you before proceeding, not after.

Outcome Focus

Every engagement ends with something concrete — a written summary, a completed appeal, a consolidated household file. We do not consider a case closed until the client has a document in hand that reflects what was done and what it means for them. For recovery cases, we follow up until the authority's response arrives and explain its implications clearly, including any further steps that might be taken.
How We Compare

Sentosa vs. Typical Providers

General law firms, document-processing services, and unregulated advisers all handle pension paperwork — but not in the same way.

Feature Sentosa Typical Providers
Pension and EPF specialisation Rarely
Fixed, agreed fee upfront Often hourly
Written summary after every session Uncommon
Named adviser for entire case Not standard
Family member welcome at all sessions Varies
Survivor pension coordination included Additional fee
No-pressure initial consultation option Often tied to further engagement
Distinctive Features

What Only Sentosa Offers

The Standalone Consultation

Our Quiet Pension Consultation is a complete service in itself — not a sales call dressed as a session. You receive a written summary and leave knowing your options, with no obligation to continue. This is unusual in the legal services industry and is something clients specifically mention as reassuring.

The Consolidated Household File

At the close of a Lifetime Retirement Care Arrangement, we produce a single organised file covering all schemes, decisions, and correspondence. This file is yours to keep, pass to a family member, or present to another adviser in future — it is a clear record of your full retirement legal position.

Bilingual Practice

All services are available in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Correspondence to authorities can be prepared in either language, and our advisers are comfortable switching mid-conversation if that is what you prefer.

No-Pressure Timeline

We do not push cases forward faster than you are comfortable with. If you need more time to gather documents, think through a decision, or consult a family member before proceeding, we hold the case open without pressure or additional charges.
